Departure from your hotel to make a complete tour of the most emblematic points in the history of the first railroad in South America; the “Presidente Carlos Antonio López” railway. We will visit the Asunción railway station, originally called “Estación San Francisco”, which stands out for its architectural proportions and the beauty of its lines. In the museum you can see objects and furnishings of the different stations located along the tracks, as well as one of the first locomotives to arrive from England for the transport service. We continue to the Botanical Garden,one of the railway stations, to see the locomotive that is there. We continue to the station of the city of Pirayu, which architecturally differs radically from the rest of the ones in the countryside, since it was the only one that had two towers. Time for lunch, ending the tour in Sapucai, the city of the railroad. We will visit its historical museum, which includes the train workshops, dated from 1895, and the steam locomotives.
